Merry Meet Finds Gifts From Friends
A Sunday business meeting doesn't sound like much fun, even if it's for a science fiction convention. The punch, fresh baked cookies, pie, and cheesecake made it much better, and the meeting being filled with decade-long friends took a the very serious nature of a meeting and made it light hearted and fun! Unexpectedly, it also brought a surprise gift. |
During the production crunch for one of the Star Wars Super Collector's Wish Books, Mike and Chris came over and did an incredible amount of the photography catch-up work. Today Chris came to the meeting and he brought with him this set of 10 oz. Star Wars glasses by Vandor LLC. We had been chasing them for nearly a year, with the last of the for-sale stock seeming to send up in the U.K. Since international postage to bring a 4-pack of glasses back tot he U.S. seemed a bit excessive, we've been hunting them on eBay without much success.
It was a nice surprise for a Sunday afternoon when mail isn't running and there's no time to wander the shops. It's really nice to know that somebody was thinking about us and found something that they wanted us to have. Truly a gift from the heart, even better than Christmas!
