Repaints Moving On To Role-Play Weapons?

    New Products

    "Clone Trooper Blaster"

    "Stormtrooper Blaster"

Will it be the same gun?

The original Kenner 3-in-1 rifle was an excellent translation of the actual Imperial Stormtrooper Blaster, and ahead of it's time in 1978. When Hasbro announced that it was going to release a 'Stormtrooper Blaster', collectors excitedly held their breath to see what modern marvels the toymaker would dazzle us all with...
...but now I hesitate to add this product to the 'New Produts' pages. The preliminary release photo (above) appears to be nothing more than a EPIII Clone Trooper rilfe with a new paintjob and an Imperial cog sticker. Both have the same pricepoint, to the penny.

It is possible that Hasbro will release something completely different than the advance photos, but somehow I suspect they won't.
