    The Cancelled Have Returned!

Last October some images were released of a new wave of Star Wars Unleashed figures: Han Solo, Shock Trooper, and Chewbacca. The interest in the larger sized Unleased figures hasn't diminished since the line was re-started in 2004 with the nicely colored packaging. (The original packaging was sky-blue in color.)
Hasbro decided to explore the Unleashed concept in miniature form (i.e. Unleashed Battle packs) and so shelved production on the latest wave of static figures.

Last week they were discovered at a Walmart and reported to an online news site. Fearing it was simply a warehouse clear-out that had caused the ill-fated figures to appear I have been searching for them ever since.

I found my set today at Walmart, and if it's stock is any indication, there's not much need to be concerned about finding them eventually. My Walmart had 8-10 of each model.

Son to the rescue! On the main shelf there were 5 Han Solos and 5 Chewbaccas. No shock troopers. Tamara, Patricia, and Lawrence were all with me. I showed them the graphic of the shock trooper on the back of the Han figure and told them how difficult it would be to find one, so if they came across one, they should pick it up immediately. As we were walking away, Lawrence said, "Hey. It's right there." We all looked at the shelf, but nothing had changed. Lawrence pointed up to the top shelf. "Up there!" The top shelf was filled with shock troopers plus a couple of Hans and Chewbaccas. Lawrence climbed up and got one for me. It's nice to have kids who'll take an interest and spot goods for you!
