    Collection Diary 05-27-06 - Entry 6 of 6

    Collection Diary

There Are None Left in the World

My favorite tales are when somebody comes up to me and tells me all about how there are only 'X' number of sealed collectibles left in the world, and how they are fortunate enough to have one. Often I wonder if whomever did the counting knew that I had one too.

I hadn't ever seen a still-sealed sample of an Adam Joseph backpack befoer this one came up on eBay. Since nobody else seems to have ever counted how many of these are still remaining, I'll guess ''less than ten'', and if it turns out that there are hundreds, only myself and a handful of thers will ever know that my guess was too low. If you own one of these yourself, then welcome to the secret exclusive Adam Joseph Industries still-sealed backpack owners club!
No, it's NOT a Darth Vader flux capacitor. It's a Darth vader silly straw made by Zakk Designs. For EPI in 1999 they made a set of 4 and released them in clear plastic bags. (Aplause also made swirly straws in 1999, which sold loose in the US and carded in the UK.) For any Star Wars straw collectors out there, you'd better get one of these off eBay before they're gone! Mine arrived this week and it's ultra cool! The first of the straws that comes in a great display box.

This Fun Pack is by Hunter Leisure in Australia. It includes: a color-your-own puzzle, scribbler, sticker book, sticker sheet, and crayons.

Golden! Of the three types of puzzles I'd like to own the most (T. Theophanides and Son, Parker Brothers / Kreig der Sterne, and Argentina / Cromy) I finally got one of them! This Regreso del Jedi puzzle is from Cromy, and is one of a set of four. It's shaped like a giant matchbox in that there's an inner tray that sides out the side with all of the puzzle pieces.
