    Collection Diary 05-27-06 - Entry 5 of 6

    Collection Diary

BonBon Buddy is Gumming Up Star Wars Collectibles!

Meiji (Japan) had the first documented, official, licensed gum dispenser. They had a set of five Xylish dispensers (Anakin, C-3PO, Clone Trooper, Jango Fett, R2-D2) in three different colors (blue, green, red).

I received a box from an Ebay seller in the U.K. with a set of three Epsiode III gum dispensers.
The Darth Vader moti was very popular for Episode III for obvious reasons. It is with great difficulty that I have to describe each piece of art in the book. Right now these pieces has generic descriptions: ''Darth Vader at right'', ''Darth Vader above flames'', ''Darth Vader below flames''. While these descriptions are sufficient for smaller set, like this set of three, there are other sets with generic art such as the 84 postcard set, which are much more daunting.

If anybody knows of a standardized list of names for the generic art, would you mind dropping me a line?
