    Collection Diary

    Purely Coincidence...

VTSC (Vintage The Saga Collection) Biker Scout, and Jedi Force Speederbike Luke. One is from Target in Fort Worth, Texas and the other all the way from the United Kingdom. It may look like I plan these themed entries each day, but it's all in the luck of the draw.
I was getting tired of finding 4 of the 5 VTSC figures, with the Biker Scout always missing. (X-Wing Luke is the 2nd most popular.) Either scalpers or army builders are hitting the shelves with a vengance. Now that I have my fifth figure, I'm going to have to come up with a surgical procedure to remove the stickers so that I can mail away for my exclusive George Lucas action figure. Side note: 2006 will see the release of two different official Lucas figures! After 28 years of having none, it's odd that suddenly there's a pair of them at once.

Star Wars Jedi Force Speederbike Luke - IN YELLOW! I've been watching the stores for over a year for this one. While there's been no official word on it's fate, I believe that it (and Jedi Force Obi-Wan with Boga) have all been shipped overseas. With the first version still clogging the shelves, I suspect Hasbro sent them all off to the U.K. to move. This one came off of eBay at a very reasonable $20 plus postage. It's damaged (top left corner) but I'm not going to complain. I'm relieved not to have to chase it any longer. :)
