2004 Disney Star Wars Weekends Box Arrives!

A wonderful ebay seller who helped me obtain the Silent Night Jedi Knight goods long after they were gone from the park has come through with some great deals to help me fill in my WDW collectibles!

Today's entries are the Nickel Silver, 24k gold overlay, and .999 fine silver coins.

(More images and information if you Read More...)

Every weekend of the Star Wars Weekends, Disney casts a limited edition collectible coin in a variety of metals.

Last year the image was of Jedi Mickey back-to-back with Yoda, both with lightsaber drawn and ready to defend the Force from the agents of the dark side.

This year to coincide with the DVD release, the Disney image is Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in the classic Luke and Leia pose on the original Star Wars A New Hope theater poster.

The first week's coin was bronze, then came Nickel Silver, 24k gold overlay, and finally .999 fine silver. The bronze and nickel coins retailed at $15.00 each, and the latter two retailed at $20.00 at the park. eBay prices for the coins started at $50-$65 a piece, but finally settled around $35-$40 each.

The same seller also sent me a couple of items at near-cost, but I'm going to hold them until tomorrow (Sunday) since there's no mail service, and it's not likely I'm going to find anything new in the stores. Check back tomorrow after 5!!
