    Collecting Diary 2004-05-26

    Attention, International Collectors...

Italy. For some reason, the eBay trade route between Italy and the U.S. seems to be almost non-existant. I buy often from Canada, the United Kingdom, and Japan. Every now and again I find something cool from Mexico. Italy seems to be illusive.

I managed to find two items (from the same UK seller) from Italy that go well with my collection. A Galoob / Gigi Star Wars Micromachine Action Fleet Slave I and Collection I Micromachine Mini-Action Set with Boba Fett, Admiral Ackbar, and Gamorrean Guard.

From a different UK seller, I received two Episode I action figure vehicles (both manned by Battle Droids!). the STAP with Battle Droid is in the classic version box with action figure tray, and the Armored Scout Tank with Battle Droid is in the modern window box. Identical to their US releases in design, the attraction to these pieces is the multi-language boxes that are quick to fascinate non-collectors.
