    Collection Diary Entry 2003-05-29-03

    Limited edition of 500!

In 2001 Disney produced a limited edition coin with R2-D2 projecting a hologram Mickey Mouse. This year Disney made 500 coins from nickel silver with Mickey Mouse and Yoda! The original coin in 2001 had 1200 made. This one only had 500. Hmmm... Lotsa of people will be looking for one!

I also received a package in the mail, but to see those images, you'll have to READ MORE

These comic books were 'given away' at Toys R Us when you bought a Star Wars toy. The distribution was poor with many TRU employees knowing nothing about the comics, when they were due, or what they were for. The comics also weren't free; they rang up for $0.01 each. I suspect that was an inventory control so the employees didn't walk off with all the boxes. I pulled this complete set off ebay after only being able to find one copy of issue 2 locally.
